The diary of Anne Frank(Brisbane my year nine ENGassignment)
Once, a girl gave up her ballet shoes;
her teddy bear,
away from her sweet home,
to a garret.
She hides and hides, from Hitler and his followers.
In the narrow dirty annexe, writing her diary.
Because she cannot speak.
Yes, she cannot speak.
She can only speak to her diary.
Her braveness and faith, can be felt in her reflections of each word.
The World is screaming,
The soldiers are searching,
and she is seeking, waiting,
for the day that everything ends.
She wonders,
Will the tears ever dry?
Will the darkness ever fade?
Will the war ever end?
Will the breeze bring the news of peace?
Will ever grief pass away?
Two years later,
After the cruel war,
There were flashes of scenes,
playing in the dark...
Can you see?
A shadow that sighs in the night?
her teddy bear,
away from her sweet home,
to a garret.
She hides and hides, from Hitler and his followers.
In the narrow dirty annexe, writing her diary.
Because she cannot speak.
Yes, she cannot speak.
She can only speak to her diary.
Her braveness and faith, can be felt in her reflections of each word.
