東京成田 和 巴里島 TOKYO & BALI

irst time flying back to back since joining. This time, i started with Narita overnight flight and follow by turaround flight to Depasar Bali.

On the way to Narita, we have been briefed that the flight would be bumpy as there was a typhoon over Taiwan. Hey, it is in Dec. It is extemely rare to see a typhoon during winter. According to Taiwan newspaper, this has not happened for at least one hunderd years.

The flight departed smoothly as usual despite there were a few technical problems with our company’s aircraft. For Japan flight service, we usually start with cocktial service, followed by dinner, second wine, tea/coffee and ice cream. Also, the meals served on flights to Japan are quite tasty and delicious.

In this flight, we have two choices for passengers, Onagi (grilled eels) and japanese style beef rice. In Asia, most people consider eels as delicacies and eels are not cheap. Therefore, the choices for eels run out very fast.

Has this ever happened to u on some of the flights?

I am sure this has defintely happened to some of you. But what will we do? Oh well, if the choices have run out, it means it has run out. After all, this is only an aircraft flying 30,000 ft above sea level. There is no kitchen or market. Before take off, the designated cater has loaded sufficient meals for the flights. For turnaround flights (returning at the same date), the caters will load the meals sufficient for the entire trips.

If this flight carries certain number of choices of meals, that also means anything other food than what we carry would not be avaliable. # Having said so, passengers often want to order something that is not avaliable. For instance, we have the choices of beef rice or seafood noodles for economic class. When we start the meal service, passengers might just ask for lobsters, chicken not from thailand, congee.....

Many passengers are understanding though disappointing. But some passengers actually get annoyed and start losing temper. ....

To be continued..
