🎭 The mask and the true face: the true face of the covered soul

In this new work with dramatic tension and psychological depth, contemporary artist Lu Lan-Hsin uses rich textured paper texture, ink marks and bold color fine-tuning to deeply explore the true self of modern people under the social mask.

"We all wear the same face."

"But the true self is always hidden in those traces that have been smeared and covered."

The face on the left side of the canvas is stacked with three-dimensional mottled textures, with deep eyes and solemn expression, as if it had crossed the hustle and bustle of the world, looking straight at every soul trying to hide itself.

Texture stacked face: like a gray-white face covered by years of weathering or tearing, showing extremely rich bumpy textures, symbolizing the traces of our camouflage and smearing in order to adapt to the world.

Lonely gaze eyes: the simple but extremely charming eyes and nose lines emerged in the chaotic background, showing a sober, quiet and tenacious power.
