最近，有某一品牌咖啡的電視廣告歌曲，吸引了台長我的注意，覺得還不錯聽，查了一下，是節錄自英國歌手Calum Scott於2017推出的歌曲《You Are the Reason》。

出生於1988的Calum Scott，於2013參加Hull Daily Mail舉辦的「尋星」才藝比賽，勝出後參與Maroon 4 ( 取此團名為有向Maroon 5 致敬之意 ) 樂團在英國各處巡演，之後再組二重唱，還發行單曲《Girl ( You Are Beautiful )》及上電視節目打歌，但未久又散夥。

Calum Scott真正打開全英國知名度是在2015參加「英國達人秀」的電視選秀節目，在預賽時翻唱了一首《Dancing on My Own》，獲得評審Simon Cowell按下「金」按鈕，保送他直接參加半準決賽，而在最後決賽時因忘詞敗下陣來。但他在YouTube上的預賽影音點閱數已超過了3億次。

此首《You Are the Reason》在全球大賣5百萬張，在烏克蘭基輔拍攝置於YouTube的官方音樂影帶，目前的點閱數已超過了6億次。2018，Scott再推出與英國女歌手Leona Lewis合唱的版本，在美國告示牌排行榜獲得第23名。Lewis的年紀較Scott長3歲，出道也較Scott早了近10年。Lewis從12歲起就開始吃素，2008獲PETA ( 善待動物組織 ) 選為Sexiest Vegetarian ( 最性感的素食主義者 )。而Scott在2018的國際出櫃日(Oct.11)，錄製了一段影片，說明自己的同志心路歷程，最後，說在向母親坦承自己的性傾向時，母親告訴他：Calum，I will love you no matter what。
