老歌亂談(878)Some Days Are Diamonds ( Some Days Are Stone )
上週日晚，看了Fox電影台的首映片《Logan Lucky》( 台譯：羅根好好運 )，雖然對主角等演員不熟，但應該還算是不錯看 ( 至少在愛睏的情況下，還是將全片給看完了。)。影片以美國西維吉尼亞州作為地緣背景，而採用John Denver的《Take Me Home，Country Roads》作為主題曲，自是頗為相應 ( 該曲開始的歌詞：Almost heaven, West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River…… )。而此次要介紹的，則是在影片一開始的插曲，John Denver的另首《Some Days Are Diamonds ( Some Days Are Stone )》。
其實，此曲在1976即由寫歌者Dick Feller自己錄唱發行，可惜無緣進榜。1980，鄉村歌手Bobby Bare亦錄唱此曲，收錄在他1980的專輯《Down & Dirty》，唯未另發行單曲。而John Denver的版本收錄在他1981的專輯《Some Days Are Diamonds》，並作為主打的單曲，在鄉村榜獲得第6名 ( 流行榜 #36 )，另在加拿大的鄉村榜則為冠軍曲。
John Denver的父親是美國空軍的飛行員 ( 試飛官 )，Denver或因遺傳或是受到感染也酷愛飛行，並擁有2700小時的飛行經驗。1997年10月12日，Denver駕駛才買不久的Rutan Long-Ez ( 是一架零件組裝的實驗飛機 )，卻不幸墜毀身亡，僅享年53歲。據事後調查墜機的原因，極有可能是副油箱轉換開關的位置設計不良 ( 在駕駛員的左後方 )，Danver必需身體側轉近90度方可執行油料轉換，或因而導致雙腳操作的飛機平衡失控。人生即是如此，雖英年早逝，能留下一些讓人懷念的音樂作品，也算是沒白來人世走一遭了。
